Ida Louise Jarvis

Ida Louise Jarvis, 85, died February 13, 2012 in Saint George, Utah. She was born to Anthony and Cyrilla Moir Sty on January 23, 1927 in Joliet, Illinois.

She grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Our Lady of Grace Elementary and Schurz High School. She left the windy city, Chicago, in 1954 and moved to sunny California. Her later years were spent in Mesquite, Nevada. She was blessed with three children, John, Charles and Sally. John Deceased August 3, 2008.

She is survived by son Charles (Sharon), Mesquite, NV and daughter Sally A. Coates, Saint George, UT; seven grandchildren, David Islas Jr., Jesse , Kyle, and Rikki Jarvis, Kyler, Shaylynn, and Shianne Hughes; two great grandchildren, David Islas III and Jeffrey Jarvis as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Jarvis son John and brothers Chuck and Leroy Sty.

A visitation will be held at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Rd., Mesquite, NV on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will be held in her honor at La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church, 401 Canyon Crest Blvd. Mesquite, NV on Friday, February 17, 2012. A rosary will begin at 11:30 with Mass at noon.
