Herbert J. Allison

Herbert (Herbie) J. Allison, 66, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at his Mesquite, NV residence. He was born October 4, 1946 in Yonkers, NY to Joseph Allison and Agnes Gregson. He married Judy Gadonniex in 1971 in Yonkers, NY. Herbert graduated from the Yonkers High School. He worked for Metro North Railroad as Assistant Director of Materials, Track, and Structures for forty two years and retired to Mesquite, NV in 2005. He was a very dedicated husband and father whom was involved in his children's sports; especially Little League. He was an avid golfer, liked scuba diving, traveling, and vacationing. Herbie was an honest, accepting and understanding man who always let you know exactly where you stood with him. He picked up and helped many others in his life. He is survived by his wife Judy; his two sons; Michael Allison and Mark (Angela) Allison; two grandchildren, Joshua and Britney; and one sister, Donna (Joe) Syreika. He is preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held Friday, March 29 at the LDS Whipple Chapel in Mesquite at 4:00 pm.
