Henry "Hank" Edward Easley
Hank Easley, age 80, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2008. He went on to his happy hunting and fishing grounds!
Hank was born on March 23, 1928 in Glen Fork, West Virginia. He moved with his family in 1935 to California working from the age of 9 until he retired in 1989 from the Operating Engineers. In 1944 at the age of 16 with his mother's signature, he joined the Merchant Seaman, he was only 5'8" tall. In 1950, he served in the Korean Conflict as an Army Military Police.
He is one of eleven children; he was preceded in death by his father, George Francis Easley (1972), mother, Lula Harriet Dozier (1982), sister, Hilda (1920), sister, Lula May (1947), brother, Harold (1965, brother, George (1989), sister, Wilma (1991). His surviving brothers and sisters are William, Eva Lee, Joyce Schramuk, Billy and Jim.
Dad leaves behind a son, Michael (Becky) Muniz; Michael's two daughters, Sophia and Natalie (Jesse) Tanner; one daughter, Cynthia (Weston) Shakespear; their three sons, Henry (Brittany) Shakespear, Andrew (Jamie) Shakespear, Nicholas Shakespear and a great granddaughter, Nadia Shakespear.
He loved his family with all that he was. We will have a Graveside Service on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Logandale Cemetery, followed by a celebration of his legacy at his home in Logandale. Arrangements under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary, 702 398-3600.
