Harold Boyd Worley

February 20, 1939 — March 27, 2017

Boyd Worley, 78, passed away on March 27, 2017 in Mesquite, NV. Boyd was born on February 20, 1939 in Pocatello, ID to Charles Wallace Worley and Mary Marthine Robinson. He married Frances Marie Wood on January 23, 1958 in Pocatello, ID and they just celebrated fifty-nineth wedding anniversary.

Boyd graduated from Pocatello High School in 1956 and married his high school sweetheart, Frances, two years later. Boyd loved the outdoors, whether he be on a motorcycle, backpacking on fifty mile hikes, snowmobiling through Yellowstone National Park and watching Old Faithful, riding ATV’s, or skiing, Boyd loved to be outside. Boyd also loved art and would use paint, oils, watercolors, or woodworking. He taught others how to craft jewelry at the ISU craft shop. Boyd worked at Intermountain Gas as an engineer for thirty-two years, but had to retire for his health. Boyd was known as a dedicated worker and others could easily depend on him. He was a friendly person and very loyal. His family meant everything to him, and he would always hold his grandchildren when they came. Boyd loved his wife and was her rock throughout their marriage.

Boyd is survived by his wife Frances Worley; son Rick Worley; daughter Jeni (Troy) Garmen; grandchildren: Kara Worley, Rick P. (Stephanie) Worley, Tristan (Kaylee) Worley, Jeffrey (Nikki) Garmen, and Michael (Jeanette) Garmen; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: David and Jack Worley. Boyd is preceded in death by his parents; brother Dean; and sister Pearl.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date for family and friends. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their "Guest Book".
