Harold Lavon Wallis left us on December 23, 2015 and will be greatly missed by those who loved him dearly.
He was born on March 26, 1929, in Shawnee, OK to Claude and Gladys Sears Wallis. He married Marilyn P. Wallis, and they had a son, Michael G. Wallis.
Harold served in the Korean War and afterward was employed by the Federal Government as a Communications Technician. This allowed him to travel much in the United Sates and the Far East, but when he chose to retire, he moved to Mesquite, NV.
After losing his wife, he was fortunate to find a second opportunity for love and happiness, when he found and married Wilma (Sunny) Phillips. They enjoyed years of good times, travel and playing until Harold was diagnosed with ALS ( Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Sunny lovingly took care of him for the following years.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, his son, brothers; Alvin G., Jerald L., and Jimmy D. He is survived by his wife Sunny; sister, Velda Wallis. He is also survived by three step-children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
