Harold Gibson

Harold Loy Gibson, Jr., age 60, died Friday, April 5, 2013 in Logandale, Nevada. He was born January 28, 1953 in Yuma, Arizona to Harold Loy and Billie Jo Dockery Gibson. On August 25, 1972 he married Cheryl J. Heide in Roll, Arizona. They had three children and were later divorced. On June 20, 2003 he married Debra Lynn Hill in Preston, Nevada. Harold grew up in Roll, Arizona. He enjoyed playing baseball as a young man. He served for 14 honorable years in the US Army. After a tour in Vietnam, he was a motor transport operator and utility helicopter repair man. During his time in the military, his family lived in Alabama, Germany and Colorado. Later, he moved his family to Wyoming before settling in Lund, Nevada in 1984. He retired as a warehouse manager for the Nevada State Corrections. Recently, he has been working with his son in the transportation industry. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, truck driving and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Debra; two daughters and one son: LeAnn (Rick) Rimington of Lund, NV; Sandra (Dennis) Burns of Lund, NV; Curtis (Ann) of Ely, NV; son in law, Jason Egbert of Ely, NV; one step son, Josh (Nora) Zeller; one step daughter, Jessica Richard both of Escondido, CA; 11 grandchildren: Kara, Derick, Brendon Rimington; Tristen, Kaden, Colten, Savana Egbert; Breanna Gibson; Alyssa Whitlock; Jonathon & Justin Meeks; one brother, David (Renae) of Lund, NV and two nephews, Trenton and Jack. Graveside Service and Military Honors will be Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellton Cemetery. A celebration of life/BBQ will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the home of Christina & Rick Rimington in Lund, NV.
