Gregory Alan Smith, age 60, died Monday, April 11, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born February 12, 1951 in Long Beach, California. His parents were Gilbert Burnham and Carol Ailene Shelton Smith. On September 10, 1994 he married Jeannette Gail "Gini" Silk in Helendale, California. Greg grew up in Long Beach. He lived for a short time in Montana and Colorado before settling in Logandale, Nevada in 1996. He worked as a police officer, operating heavy equipment and mining. He enjoyed restoring old cars, farming and he was an avid photographer. Survivors include his wife, Gini of Overton, NV; two step daughters, Stacylynn (Jack) Margason of Redding, CA; Nicole (Aaron) Sallee of Bishop, CA; six grandchildren; two brothers: Devin (Susan) Stribich of Long Beach, CA and Todd (Gloria) Stribich of Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by one sister. Private family services were held. Arrangements under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
