Gregory L Reber

October 29, 1954 — April 26, 2010

Gregory L. Reber was bom October 29, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Larry and Colleen Reber. He died suddenly at his home in Bunkerville, Nevada on April 26, 2010.

Greg grew up in Las Vegas, until he was 14, when his parents moved to Bunkerville. He graduated from Virgin Valley High School in 1972.

Shortly after graduation, Greg enlisted in the Army. After Basic Training he was assigned to cooking school. He developed a love for cooking and used these skills until his death, cooking meals for his parents each day. He was honorably discharged from the service in the late l970's.

He spent many years as a cook. He drove truck cross country and was also a heavy equipment operator.

In 1975, Greg was in a serious automobile accident where he suffered a concussion, fractured skull and paralysis of his left side of his face and many broken bones. In 1995, he started having seizures as a result of that accident. For the last 15 years, his health has been declining.

He married Leah Massey and they were later divorced.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Colleen Reber, Bunkerville NV. His brothers Dean of Bunkerville, NV and Dennis (Betty) of Glendora, Ca. His sisters Velma Leavitt (Johnny) of Bunkerville and Teresa Woods (Gary) of Bunkerville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who affectionately called him "Hippy" and "Gregory Ann." Greg is also survived by "Charlie" his dog who was always by his side.

He was preceded in death by a sister Lori Ann and grandparents Merl and Elizabeth Wittwer, and Louis and Velma Reber.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the Bunkerville LDS Chapel. A visitation will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Virgin Valley Mortuary and again on Saturday, May 1, 2010 prior to the service starting at 2:00 pm.
