Gloria Miller

Gloria Lorraine Miller, age 80, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. She was born December 17, 1927 in Posen, Illinois to John Joseph and Anne Heydisch Gierszewsky. On April 12, 1947 she married Paul Peter Wroblewsky in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1978. On June 12, 1984 she married her square dancing partner, Donald Richard Miller in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gloria grew up in Posen. After her marriage to Paul, they moved their small family to Southern California in the early '50's where they raised their son. After Paul retired, they moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1977. After Paul passed away, Gloria moved back to San Diego to be near her son's family. In 1990 she moved to Overton, Nevada where she lived out her final years with her sweetheart, Donald. She was an active member of the St. John's Catholic Church. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, touring in her motor home and visiting family.

Survivors include her husband Donald, son, Michael John (Susan) Wroblewsky of Portsmouth, RI; step children: Phillip (Donna) Miller; Melanie Marie Miller; grandchildren: Daniel, Samuel, Gabriel, Kayla, Timothy , Robert, April, Laurette, and Kristin; two sisters: Rosie, and Annie and step brothers and sisters, Victor, Robert, Lorraine and Rita.

A memorial Mass will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Logandale, Nevada. Arrangements under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
