Mesquite, Nevada- Glen Allen Tobler, 65 years old, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at his home. He was born March 22, 1951 in St. George, Utah to Iren Tobler and Myra Schaub. He married Michele Mae Cochran on July 20, 1972 in the St. George Utah Temple.
Glen was born and raised in Mesquite where he remained for the entirety of his life. Growing up on a farm he learned the value of hard work early on, and developed an interest in agriculture at a young age. He excelled in mathematics, mechanics, and hands on work. During high school he became a member of the Future Farmers of America where he ranked nationally, after graduating from Virgin Valley high school he attended college to study agriculture. Glen made the decision shortly after to return home to start his own meat packing and agriculture business. At that time he met the love of his life, and they married, together they started a family which became his life's legacy.
He is survived by Michele, his wife of 43 years , and his five children Heidi, Heather (Christopher Weaver), Wendy, John, and Hollee; Grandchildren- Whitney Weaver, Carlos Tobler, Gavin Weaver, Rocky Tobler, Ashlyn Weaver, Zoee Paul, Zaylee Paul, and Landon Weaver; Sister- Mary James; Brothers- Todd Tobler, Jay Tobler, Dale Tobler, and Rex Tobler.
His family wishes to express great gratitude to Mesa View Hospice who gave their care and expertise this last year- especially Gail Birch, Registered Nurse, and Veronica Medina, Certified Nursing Assistant. The viewing will be Friday, July 1, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Whipple Chapel- 121 Whipple Way, Mesquite, NV 89027. On July 2, 2016 at 9:00am interment will be at the Mesquite Cemetery under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 702-346-6060.
