Mesquite, NV- Gilbert Leo McDonald, 79, passed away February 14, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 4, 1933 in Denver, CO to James Leo McDonald and Vera Longcier. He married Judy Nichols on June 17, 1962 in Arvada, CO. Gilbert served our nation in the Korean War in the Army. He also volunteered with the Arvada Fire Department in Colorado. He loved playing games on the computer, enjoyed seeing the Denver Broncos play, and participated in bowling tournaments with his wife Judy. He is survived by his wife Judy; daughter, Pam (Kevin) Parsons; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ashley) McDonald and Amanda (Bret) Jarmin; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Leo Mcdonald, Kyle Leo McDonald and Lillian Marie McDonald. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Vera McDonald. Services are under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Rd. Mesquite, NV.
