Geraldine "Geri" Barefield, age 67, died Monday, October 6, 2008 at her home in Overton, Nevada. She was born August 12, 1941 in Blackfoot, Idaho to John Earl and Ruth Ardella Olson Andersen. On August 6, 1983 she married William "Bill" Lee Barefield.
Geri grew up in Idaho, then moved to Jackson, Wyoming as a teenager where she graduated from High School. She raised her boys in Jackson and later in Kemmerer, Wyoming. In 1983, after her marriage to Bill, they moved to Valinda, California. They later retired to Overton, Nevada. She enjoyed ceramics, yoga, fishing with Bill and taking pictures.
Survivors include her two sons: Kirk (Vanesia) Campbell of Pocatello, ID; of Fred (Mickey) Campbell of Kemmerer, WY; four grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Andersen of Pinedale, WY; one brother, Boyd (Judy) Andersen of Pinedale, WY and one sister, Linda Hazen of Jackson, WY. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Overton 2nd Ward Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Pinedale Cemetery, Pinedale, Wyoming.
