Gerald Lee Cheney

Gerald Lee Cheney passed away on March 21, 2016 in Cedar City, UT. He was born on December 20, 1955 in Santa Monica, CA to William Mallard Cheney and Stella Martha Chavez. Gerald married and then later divorced Donna Marie Sherman.

Gerald was a happy, outgoing man. He was a loyal friend and was willing to give anything he could to help those that he met. As a young man, Gerald enjoyed spending his time at the beach in Santa Monica, CA, surfing, fishing, and cliff diving. As he got older, he enjoyed riding his Harley around. He was also an animal lover. Gerald was a devoted father, and loved his grandchildren above all else. When he learned he was to become a grandfather, he quickly began to turn his life around. He was very proud of beating his addictions for three straight years before his passing.

Gerald is survived by his son; Joseph Lee Cheney (Paige), and his daughter; Reanna Margaret Cheney (David Gomez), his grandchildren; Gerald Grayson Cheney, Lorelei Evelyn Cheney, and Vanellope Marie Gomez, his mother; Stella Martha Chavez, and his sister; Janice Cornejo. Gerald is preceded in death by his father William Mallard Cheney, his brother; Ronald Cheney, and his grandson; Eleijah Alexander Gomez.

Visitation services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 @ 3:00pm at the Virgin Valley Mortuary in Mesquite, NV. The family will then scatter his cremated remains over the Topanga Canyon near Santa Monica, CA. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their "Guest Book".
