Georgia Butcher
Georgia Frandsen Butcher, born June 26, 1940 to George Howard and Delta Fletcher in Junction, Utah. At approximately nine months of age, her family moved to McGill, Nevada. The oldest of two children, her brother Harvey came seven years after her. Georgia attended grade school in McGill and high school in Ely, NV. At twenty years of age, Georgia married Robert D. Butcher on July 16, 1960, making their home in Ely. Five years later they were sealed, for time and all eternity, in the St. George Temple. Three children were born to this union: Tammera, Kathleen and Bobbie. Georgia was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Primary President, Young Women's President, Relief Society President and several other ward and stake auxiliary jobs. She was always a great support to her husband in his church callings. Georgia loved to read, sew, camp, and picnic with friends and family. She left this life, in her home, August 11, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Butcher; daughters; Tammera Lee (Lanyard) Williams, Kathleen Marie (Brian) Christensen, and Bobbie Eileen (Kent) Hugh; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Harvey Frandsen and her favorite dog in the world, Sandy. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Overton L.D.S. Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, August 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in the Pioneer Hill Cemetery.
