George Shearer Stewart

George Shearer Stewart, age 78, died April 28, 2015 in Overton, Nevada. He was born January 16, 1937 in Los Angeles, California to George Shearer Sr. and Margaret McCombs Stewart. George grew up in Southern California with his mother and stepfather, Floyd Fulton.
On May 18, 1971, he married Joan Leslie Snowden in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to Washington and raised two daughters and were later divorced. George worked at various jobs, but he really enjoyed his years working as a chef.
He later moved and made his home in Overton, Nevada. He enjoyed investing in the stock market. He enjoyed studying the scriptures as he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He attended Moapa Christian Church where he felt such support and faith.
Survivors include his brother, Robert (Bobbie) Stewart of Quincy, California; his two daughters: Jennifer (Richard) Bayliss; Michelle (Ryan) Christerson; three grandchildren: Devin James Simon; Mikayla Alexis Kimery; Kaden Shearer Christerson, all of Port Orchard, Washington.
Private family services will be held.
