George "Art" Arthur Rudd, 78, of Mesquite, Nevada passed away at his home on December 8, 2008. He was born on July 3, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and Louie Parry Rudd.
He grew up in Salt Lake City and married Ginger Heusser on November 25, 1949 in Salt Lake City. Together they had five children. George was a truck driver for PIE Trucking. In 2002 they moved to Mesquite. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and riding horses. He loved Pebbles and Stoney. Poppie will be greatly missed by his dearly beloved grandchildren. George is survived by his wife Ginger Rudd of Mesquite, NV; children Sandra Lee (Dale) Reiser of West Jordan, UT, David Arthur (Nanette) Rudd of Cedar City, UT, Craig James (Noreen) Rudd of Bluffdale, UT, Georgia Bowers of Mesquite, NV; brothers Kenneth Rudd and Dick (Gloria) Rudd; sisters Ruth (Bill) Bolton, Jean (Bob) Dodge and Gale (John) Bennett; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son Joseph Robert Rudd. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 1 to 3 PM at Virgin Valley Mortuary. Following the visitation, burial will be in the Mesquite City Cemetery.
