George Marion Huntsman
George Marion Huntsman, age 82, died Friday, June 1, 2012 in St George, Utah. He was born December 7, 1929 in Mesquite, Nevada to George and Mary Leavitt Huntsman. On May 29, 1993 George and his wife Mazel were sealed in the St. George Temple, May 29, 1992. George grew up in Bunkerville, NV living on a farm in Riverside as a boy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a cowboy punching cattle out at Tassie. George worked in 90 percent of the mines on Bunkerville mountain. George was a mechanic at Hughes Garage for 10 years and Harley's Garage for over 20 years. He also taught welding at Virgin Valley High School for a FFA program. He served his country proudly as an Airplane and Helicopter Mechanic in the Korean War. He also served as President of his Sunday school class. Survivors include his son, Allen Marion Huntsman of Bunkerville, NV; his two daughters, Emily (Delbert) Gollaher of Washington, UT and Ruth (Bryan) Chamberlain of Bunkerville, NV; four grandchildren, Andrea Jean Gollaher, Rustin (Rebecca) Jones, Melissa (Braden) Chamberlain and Tony Navarro (Samantha) and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mazel, son Bryon, daughter-in-law Lois and many brothers and sisters. A Funeral service will be held in his honor Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bunkerville LDS Church, Bunkerville, Nevada. Visitation will be at the church that morning from 9:30-11:00 a.m. The burial will be in the Bunkerville Cemetery following the funeral services.
