Gary Hall

Gary Boyd Hall, age 72, went off to the races Sunday, June 28, 2009 from a sudden cardiac arrest at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born September 21, 1936 in Roosevelt, Utah to Vernie Carl and Reva Hartle Hall. He married Dianne Astin, they had three children and were later divorced. On May 26, 1979 he married Gladys Mae Brown in Granger, Utah.

Gary grew up in Roosevelt, raised his family in Salt Lake City working for the Granite School District. He later worked for the Kenworth Trucking Company. He moved to Desert Springs, Arizona in 1984 working security for the Oasis Casino. His passion was training horses and spending time at Turf Paradise Track in Phoenix with friends. He will be remembered as a hard working, honest, generous friend to everyone.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys of Desert Springs, AZ; son, Kevin (Pattie) of St. Louis, MO; daughter, Wendie (Kurt) Sorenson of Sandy, UT; two stepsons: Richard (Debbie) Lail of West Valley City, UT; Benjamin (Jody) of S. Jordan, UT; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Rae (Dale) Nelson of Roosevelt, UT; Kathryn (Bob) Grant of Vernal, UT and Mary Reva Olsen of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Carrie, two brothers and one sister.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 4 p.m. at the Littlefield LDS Chapel, Highway 91, Littlefield, Arizona. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
