Garth Glazier
"Small but wiry" Garth David Glazier, aka Fred Schwartz left us in the early morning of January 9, 2011. He was born in Kanab, UT on September 15,1942 to Melvin "Todd" and Della Robinson Glazier.
Garth spent most of his life in Kanab where he and his brother Mel built and ran the Stage Stop and Glazier's Foodtown. He was married to Roseanne Tietjen, the mother of his four children, for 23 years. He later married Deanne Lay and helped raise her two children. It is often said that a candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long which was the case with dad. He worked, played and loved with equal enthusiasm.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Deanne, children Tiffany (Dave) Mendenhall of Ivins, UT, Justin Glazier of Las Vegas, NV; Brandan (Meredith) Glazier of Murray, UT; stepchildren Jimmy (Mindy) Pehrson of Riverton, UT; and Kim (Seth) Payne of Herriman, UT; grandchildren Delaney and Kiana Glazier and James Pehrson; and sister Caroline (Giff) Early of Fredonia, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mel and his son Trent. Graveside service will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Mesquite Cemetery.
