Gaetano Michael “Guy” Palella

Gaetano Michael “Guy” Palella, age 90, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Ivins, Utah. He was born May 24, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Nicola and Josephine Caggiano Palella. On January 26, 1946 he married his sweetheart Lorraine Mary Palella in Chicago. She preceded him in death on January 29, 2012.
Guy lived most of his life in Chicago where he worked as a truck driver. In 2005 he retired to Mesquite, Nevada where he became known as the Pizza Guy in Mesquite. Guy enjoyed life to the fullest with family, friends and neighbors. He had deep religious beliefs that shaped him. He was loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include his three sons: Frank (Debbie) of Chicago; Nick (Virgie) both of Chicago, IL; Michael (Claudia) of Auburn, CA; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Funeral Mass Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church, as well as a Visitation that evening from 5 - 6 p.m. followed immediately by a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary in Mesquite, Nevada. Then Guy will join his beloved Lorraine of 66 years in Eternal Peace and Happiness in the All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines, Illinois.
