Frances was raised in Pinedale, Wyoming and graduated from Pinedale High School in 1958. She attended the University of Wyoming and married Wilfred "Sonny" Carrier on February 16, 1962. Sonny and Fran had a wonderful life together and lived all over the country, but she always loved the mountains of Wyoming and lived in Rock Springs for more than thirty years. She and Sonny purchased a home in Mesquite, Nevada and visited often for mini-vacations before moving there permanently in November of 2012.
Frances was a beautiful, talented, and brilliant woman. She had several occupations through her life, most recently in real estate. She and Sonny were Broker/Owners of Carrier Realty in Rock Springs before they decided to retire and move to Mesquite. She loved flowers and hummingbirds, and always had a lovely yard. Frances had a big heart and didn't know any strangers. Everyone who had the good fortune to know her loved her and admired her. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Frances was always giving back to her community and served on several Boards of Directors; she was the secretary for Kiwanis Club in Rock Springs for many years. She was a member of La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mesquite.
Frances is survived by her loving spouse, Sonny; three children, Roberta Townsend of Mesquite, NV, Robert Carrier of Lolo, MT and John Carrier of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren Mathew Keller, Keyth Lloyd, Danielle Freeman, Paul Carrier, Gordon Carrier, Lara Carrier, and Ben Carrier; and four great-grandchildren.
