Florence L. Nelson, 71, died February 19, 2012 in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born December 17, 1940 in Colorado, to Leroy and Velma Fuhlendorf Newton. Florence enjoyed gambling, she enjoyed playing the slot machines, she would move from machine to machine. She loved to fish and play golf. She was the recording secretary for the Desert Dames for two years, she enjoyed her affiliation with them. Florence leaves behind two sons, William Paul Ashlin and Daniel Nelson, and a daughter, Nina Mary Samour; She had seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren . She leaves a brother Fred Newton and Sister Debra Newton and good friend John Gregoire.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents.
