Delores Florence "Flo" Seckinger, age 76, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her home in Overton, Nevada. She was born March 17, 1941 in Crivitz, Wisconsin to Thomas and Helen Boryla Maye. On November 15, 1980 she married Leroy Seckinger in Overton.
She lived in Wisconsin until age nine when her family relocated to Southern California. In 1979 she moved to Las Vegas, working for Sears Repair Shop. This is where she met LeRoy. After moving to Overton, she worked as the Lunch Lady in the Moapa Valley Schools. Flo loved traveling. Summers in Oregon became an annual tradition. She loved being on the ocean and lakes. Adventures on the motorcycle and visiting with friends. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was always energetic and full of life.
Survivors include her husband LeRoy, two daughters and one son: Evelyn Santos of Mesquite, NV; Cynthia (Andrew) Copening of Palm Harbor, FL and Rico Mendez of Mesquite, NV; one step daughter, Lorrie Biederman of Overton. 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Tommy (Star) Maye of Wendover, NV and Bonnie Maye of Oregon.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. John’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
