Farris Eugene Maughan

Farris Eugene Maughan, 74, passed away on November 30, 2015 in St. George, UT. Gene was born May 6, 1941 in Logan, UT to Farris Maughan and Bernice Mary Moon.
Gene will be greatly missed. He was very intelligent and humorous, and always sharply dressed. He was known by his friends as a stalwart community leader, and in the many positions he held he enriched the lives around him. He enjoyed being outside in the sun where he spent much of his time gardening. Gene adored his two Shelties, Will and Grace. Above all, Gene loved his mother, and took great care of her until she passed away.
Gene is survived by his two nephews; Thaddeus McCrory and his family, Christy (wife) and Marion (daughter), and Dennis DeChanne and his family, Dennis Jr. (Son); his aunts Ruth Olsen and Vera Badger; and friend, Denise Isaacs. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Farris and Bernice, and his two sisters; Patricia DeChenne and Debra Clark Bearden.
Gene will be interred at Lincoln Memorial in Portland, OR next to his mother.
