Fannie Boncile (Dykes) Linebarger

Logandale, NV

Fannie Boncile Linebarger, 82, passed away on May 3, 2020 in St. George, UT. Fannie was born on August 13, 1937 in Port St. Joe, FL, the youngest child of ten from Wiley and Dora Cooper Dykes, who were a young couple that migrated to Northwest Florida from Georgia’s early farming industry. After Fannie graduated from high school, she met a young U.S. Air Force Cadet, Howard Jean Linebarger, Sr. and they were married on October 14, 1955 in Wewahitchka, FL. Throughout their marriage, Howard and Fannie slowly migrated west, moving to Cape Girardeau, MO, Marion, IL, Sacramento, CA, Canoga Park, CA, Anaheim, CA, Salinas, CA, Magalia, CA, back to Cape Girardeau, MO, and then finally to Logandale, NV.


She enjoyed her career as a Rural Carrier for the U.S.P.S. until her retirement in the late eighties. She was a trophy-winning bowler. She loved working with ceramics, knitting, and many other crafts. She enjoyed the outdoors and camping, going with her family fishing, hiking and sightseeing. Fannie was a world traveler, visiting some of Europe and the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Mexican Riviera. She loved her husband, and they enjoyed their Friday night dances and their many nights star-gazing through a telescope.


Fannie is survived by her children, Rebecca Ann Rodriguez, Michael Wade Linebarger, and Hope Phillips; her eight grandchildren; her three great grandchildren , and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Linebarger Sr.; her son, Howard Linebarger, Jr.; one granddaughter, Leeann Linebarger; her parents, and her nine siblings.


Memorial Services will be held at the Moapa Valley Mortuary in Logandale, NV on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
