Everett Gordon "Tony" Hardway, age 88, died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in St. George, Utah. He was born October 25, 1931 in Webster Springs, West Virginia to Bunnah A. and Leta Virginia Rose Hardway. On July 18, 1959 he married Virginia Lee Root in Aurora, Colorado.

Tony grew up in Bergoo, West Virginia. He entered the US Air Force in 1951 where he served for 25 years with five years in the reserve. He served during both the Korean Conflict and during Vietnam. Following his military career, he worked for Martin Murrieta as an assurance engineer in the aerospace industry.

In 1997 he and his wife retired to Mesquite, Nevada. He was proud to serve his country and continued to serve his fellow service men and women through the Mesquite Honor Guard. He was instrumental in establishing the Mesquite Veterans Center and enjoyed serving in the Mesquite Elks Lodge. He loved bowling and being with friends.

Survivors include his wife Ginger of Mesquite, NV; son, Michael (Annie) of Longmont, CO; Linda (Lonnie Gutierrez) Hardway of Aurora, CO; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Norma, Fran and Phyllis. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy and Janet.
