Dr. Eve R. Wirth of Mesquite, Nevada passed away February 17, 2013 at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite. Eve was born June 1, 1930 in New York City, New York. Eve was raised in New York and resided in Long Island, New York before moving to Mesquite in 1996. Eve attended William Cullen Bryant High School, obtained her A.A. Degree from Suffolk Community College, her B.A. Degree in Social Sciences and elementary education at Delphi-Dowling College, her M.A Degree in Psychology at State University at Stony Brook, New York and her Ph.D. in Psychology at California Coast University, Santa Ana, California. She taught elementary school for ten years before entering the field of Psychology as a psychologist in private practice. She was also an active freelance writer for thirty years and published over 800 articles and mental health booklets. She also taught piano lessons for many years. Eve was an active member of "We Care for Animals" here in Mesquite for many years and loved all animals. She enjoyed gardening, nature and playing the piano. Eve leaves behind her beloved dog, Tessa . Eve was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Lena Wirth, and her brother, Walter Wirth. A memorial mass will be held at La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church at 401 Canyon Crest Boulevard in Mesquite on March 13, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. Services are under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Rd. Mesquite, NV. In lieu of flowers Eve requested that donations be made to "We Care for Animals" PO Box 3028, Mesquite, NV 89024
