Ernest Waldroup
Ernest Lamar Waldroup, age 81, passed away peacefully Monday, March 6th, 2017 at his home in Enoch, Utah. He was born June 14, 1935 to Ernest and Lula Mae Prentice Waldroup in West Point, Georgia.
Early in his life Ernie lived in Tennessee and then for a short time in Salt Lake City, Utah. He spent most of his life in Overton, Nevada. Later he resided in Littlefield, Arizona and finally in Enoch, Utah. Ernie was an active member of the Southern Nevada Bluegrass Music Society. He sang and played the guitar. Ernie loved Bluegrass and Country music, and a good jam session. He enjoyed traveling to the next pick out, spending time with his friends and being on the lake.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Delia Waldroup of Enoch, UT; children: Shane (Sandy) Cole of Enoch, UT and David (Mary) Waldroup of Salt Lake City, UT; Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; and one brother, Milford Waldroup of Walnut Creek, CA. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Laney and lifelong friend, Carl Messaggee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Four Seasons RV Park in Littlefield, Arizona on April 7th and 8th, 2017.
