Enedina Silva

Enedina Cortez Silva, age 80, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, She was born on May 14, 1935 in Texas to Moises Surita and Eduigis Soliz Cortez. She married Fred Lucero Silva, Jr. on May 21, 1956 in Logandale, Nevada.

Enedina grew up and started her family in Logandale. In 1976, they moved to Chandler, AZ and in 1990 they moved to Wickenburg, AZ. The last few years they have been living with family in Las Vegas. She devoted her time and energy to loving and serving her family. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, Fred of Las Vegas; five daughters and three sons: Gracie (Joe) Torres of Logandale, NV; Robert (Herlinda) of Wickenburg, AZ; Enedinda (Oscar) Calleros of Las Vegas, NV; David (Betty) of Chandler, AZ; Yolanda of Las Vegas, NV; Tommy of Wickenburg, AZ; Susan of Phoenix, AZ; Deloris of Mesa, AZ; 28 Grandchildren and 37 Great Grandchildren; 4 brothers and 2 sisters: Roger (Elida) Cortez of Cedar City, UT; Ray (Tila) of Las Vegas, NV; Tirso (Lupe) of Moapa, NV; Roman (Karen) of Overton, NV; Linda (Scott) Stewart of Las Vegas, NV and Mila Pallan of Las Vegas, NV.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Moapa Valley Mortuary with a visitation from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services and a Rosary being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
