Elmer Wheeler

Elmer Wheeler, (Papa), age 80, passed from this life at home, in the loving arms of his wife and two daughters, Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was a man with a zest for life, and a love for his family.

Born September 18, 1933 in Ontario, California; he spent his earlier years there, and married his high school sweetheart, Paule Ann Davis.

Elmer was a proud Veteran of the United State Air Force. Upon moving to Overton, Nevada in 1974, he opened up a fishing guide service on Lake Mead, Wheelers' Guide Service.

As a businessman, Elmer established Wheeler's Electric, Inc. in Overton, Nevada.

Retiring in 1991, he and his wife made their home in Las Vegas, and near Lund, Nevada at their Silver Springs Ranch, where Elmer enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and most of all, the joys of being surrounded by his loving family.

"We will miss you, Papa."

Survivors include, his wife of 63 years, Paule; their two daughters, Shari (Scott) Butler of Forney, Texas, April (Marty) Taggart of Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
