Elmer E. Harding

Elmer Harding, 82, passed away January 16, 2012, in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born March 1, 1929 in Feasterville, PA to William T and Mary A (Garret) Harding.

Elmer served in the U.S. Army 1947-1950 in Guadalcanal. He built two successful construction companies in San Diego, CA before retiring in 1982. He and Carolyn then moved to Port Townsend, Washington where he was a builder, real estate broker and managed the ERA Olympic Real Estate Office in Port Ludlow. He and Carolyn moved to Mesquite, Nevada in 2001.

Elmer was a private pilot, a boater and a lover of all animals. His dog, Sami and his cats were his constant companions and brought him much joy and laughter. Those that knew him will remember him as witty, outspoken, caring and concerned for everyone he met. He was an avid lover of life and people. He will be greatly missed by his friends, family and everyone whose life he touched and influenced.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn, 2 sons, Jay and Barry, a daughter Randi, and a step-son Michael. He is also survived by his sister Elaine, many nieces, nephews and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his four brothers and his first wife, Ruth.

Arrangements are under the care of Virgin Valley Mortuary, Mesquite, NV. At his request, there are no services planned.
