Duke Bushhead

Dudley Duke Bushhead, age 59, went home to Our Great Creator on August 12, 2019 in his home on the Moapa Paiute Reservation. Duke was born on June 21, 1960 in St. George, Utah. His parents were the late Gilbert Bushhead and Thalia Rice Bushhead.

Duke was a student at Moapa Valley High School until the 10th grade, when he moved to the Stewart Indian School.

Duke was a great traveler, and loved the night life and running the streets of Las Vegas.

He easily made friends and new family wherever his journey took him. He found enjoyment hanging out with his friends and family. He had a special love for his nieces and nephews and enjoyed cooking for them any chance he could.

He is survived by his sisters: Janet Bushhead and Laura Watters both of Moapa, NV, Verdie Marble of Shivwits, UT; nephews: Shane (Brandy) Tom, Brandon Bushhead and nieces: Rebecca Grassrope and Shanna (Scott) Hardy all of Moapa, NV. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Bushhead and Thalia Rice Bushhead; his sister Sandra Bushhead, his brothers: Elliot Bushhead and Alvin Marble.

Services will be held at the Moapa Tribal Building on Friday, August 16, 2019 with a viewing at 3:00 p.m. and services beginning at 4:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guestbook at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
