Douglas Craig Grow, age 69, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in Overton, Nevada. He was born January 25, 1941 in Ogden, Utah to John Leonard and Ethel Randall Grow. On March 17, 1967 he married Patricia Ann Jordan in the Logan Temple.
Craig grew up in Huntsville, Utah, where he graduated from Weber High School. He served a mission in West Germany. He earned his degree from Utah State in Horticulture, then after one year in Logan, he moved his small family to Overton, Nevada where he worked for the Clark County School District for 34 years, managing the school farm. After he retired from the school district, he enjoyed working at the Home Hardware. He served faithfully as a ward clerk for many years. He built his dream cabin at Panguitch Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of Overton; one son, Robert (Sara) of Cedar City, UT; one daughter, Tricia McCafferty of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Moyer (Alice) Huntsville, UT; Irene (Stan) Groberg of Farr West, UT; Donna Larson of Woods Cross, UT and Melbourne (Nadine) of Deweyville, UT. He was preceded in death by one brother, Randall.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 5, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Hinckley Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
