Born April 5th 1937 in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Armand and Dorothy Cook. Left this world October 30th 2008.

Survived by his loving wife Glenna, sons Jeff Cook of SLC, Brad Cook of Denver, daughter Elizabeth (Mike) Heiser of North Platte NB. Sons Chris (Veanus) Lowe of SLC

Randy Poe of Mesquite. 9 grandchildren, 3 great grand children, sister Leslie (Jim) Connelly NH. Best friend Goofy.

Doug joined the U.S. AIR FORCE at the age of 18, and served for twenty years. He served three tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He retired as a Master Sgt. and was stationed all over Asia and the Philippines.

He was a jack-of-all-trades, sold used cars, receiving manager for a large grocery store, and a cage cashier at Casa Blanca.

Doug loved spending time with family and friend's barbequing, watching the Denver Bronco's, Atlanta Braves, and the Utah Jazz. Doug's favorite pastime was watching old westerns, especially Old John Wayne's.

He had a way of making every one fondly remember him with his jokes and witty remarks making sure to give you a hard time if he thought he could get away with it and make you laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Michael, and Uncle Bert.

Doug didn't want a funeral to mourn his passing, but a BBQ to celebrate his life which will be Wednesday Nov.5th at his home in Mesquite NV. At 3pm. He will be given military honors at this time. (20 Mimosa Way) Arrangements are under the care of Virgin Valley Mortuary(702)346-6060.
