Douglas Bryan Bundy
Douglas Bryan Bundy, 27, passed away On Saturday, October 18, 2008 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born August 18, 1981 in St. George, Utah to Douglas D. and Barbara (Sandberg) Bundy.
Bryan was raised in St. George until he was 15 years old. He attended Sunset and Dixie Downs Elementary Schools, Snow Canyon Middle and High Schools. His Family relocated to Mesquite, Nevada, where Bryan attended and graduated from Virgin Valley High School and LDS Seminary in 1999. At the time of his death Bryan resided in Mesquite, NV with his family.
Bryan was an amazing father. His world revolved around his daughter Macee. Children were the highlight of his life. His kind heart made him not only a wonderful Father, but also a caring Uncle to Gage and Gracie. Bryan enjoyed a close and very special relationship with his two brothers and his sister.
One of Bryan's greatest passions was the Arizona Strip. He was an avid hunter. In 1995, when he was 14 years old, Bryan won 1st place in the Hurst Ben Franklin, Arizona 13B, Big Buck contest. He holds a place in the Boone and Crockett awards book. He loved to stay at the family ranch for weeks at a time. He enjoyed four wheeling, horses and anything that took him outdoors, from arrowhead hunting to camping.
He was currently working in Las Vegas in the construction Industry with his father. His true ambition was to become a Fish and Game Officer.
He is survived by his daughter Macee Jade Bundy, of Bunkerville, NV, his father Douglas D. Bundy, mother Barbara (Sandberg) Bundy, brothers Tyler and Dexter Bundy, his sister RaQuel Bundy Woods and her children Gage and Gracie Woods, all of Mesquite, NV , grandparents Floyd and Rose Sandberg of Washington, UT, and various Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Chester L. and June L. Bundy, and his cousins Ken V. Bundy and Kelly Bundy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS church in Littlefield AZ on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at the Metcalf Mortuary in St. George, UT on Friday, October 24, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (UT time). There will also be a viewing at the church prior to the services on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in Mount Trumble, AZ following services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for his daughter, Macee, at Wells Fargo Bank in Mesquite. Arrangements under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 702-346-6060.
