Dorothy "Dottie" Ann Mattert

Dorothy "Dottie" Ann Mattert, age 76, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Highland Manor in Mesquite, Nevada. Dottie was born January 25, 1939 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Chester Deatrick and Frances Brining. Dottie loved the beautiful surroundings of Waukesha where she grew up and graduated from Waukesha High School. It was also in Waukesha where she met her sweetheart, Jim Mattert and on January 26, 1957 they were married in Dubuque, Iowa. Dottie is survived by her children, Jim (Tracy) Mattert, SLC UT; Jerry (Dee) Mattert, Justin CA; and Jeff (Kat), Rancho Santa Margarita; grandchildren, Mac, Maggie and Josuah Mattert; numerous brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Mattert. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mesquite United Methodist Church, 420 Pioneer Road, Mesquite, NV 89027. Interment will be at the Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Anna, CA. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Mesquite United Methodist Church Building Fund at 420 Pioneer Road, Mesquite, NV 89027.
