Dorothy Jane Isaacson

Dorothy Jane Jones Isaacson, age 78, died Monday, May 11, 2009 in Springville, Utah. She was born June 11, 1930 in Bunkerville, Nevada to Alma Decator and Ivie Cox Leavitt. On October 20, 1948 she married Ivan Leon Jones in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1998. On May 25, 2006 she married W. Leon Isaacson in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jane grew up in Bunkerville, Las Vegas and Overton, Nevada. After her marriage to Ivan, they raised their family in Overton. She was always helpful and supportive to Ivan in his many business interests in Moapa Valley and at Overton Beach Marina. They loved the outdoors and spending time on Lake Mead. Throughout her life she enjoyed her flower gardens. Always active in the LDS Church, they enjoyed serving as ordinance workers in the Las Vegas Temple. She will be remembered as a loving sister, wife and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, W. Leon Isaacson of Springville, UT; one daughter and two sons: Ivie Ann Walker of Las Vegas, NV; Jeffrey (Teresa) of Overton, NV; Randall (Jane) of Overton, NV; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren: Leon's children: Mel (Sherrie) of West Jordan, UT; Ed (Marcia) of Alpine, UT; Patty (Rick) Robinson of West Jordan, UT; Judy (Dale) Ainge of Orem, UT; Leon has 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Hunt of Las Vegas and Laurea (Rex) Rodgers of Overton, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Overton LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, May 15, 2009 from 6 - 8 p.m. and again from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Overton Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
