Dorlan Paul Ells, 87, passed away on December 31, 2017 in his home in Mesquite, NV. Dorlan was born on December 7, 1930 in Dixon, IL to Paul Ells and Gertrude Empen. He married Doris Fehrenbacher on January 15, 1966 in Somonauk, IL.
Dorlan was raised and educated in Sycamore, IL. He loved the Chicago sports teams, especially the Cubs. He liked to golf, and play cards and gamble in Las Vegas. He was an excellent cook and loved to eat out. He always wanted to have a good time, and be with his family.
Dorlan is survived by his wife; Doris Ells of Mesquite, NV, his children; Monica (Ron) Houtz of Winchester, KY, Stevan Ells of Rockford, IL, Michael (Karen) Seymour-Ells of Wheaton, IL, Dianne (Joe) Gittleson of Phoenix, AZ, and Kevin (Sue) Ells of Mesquite, NV, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his siblings; Sheila, Pauline, Mary, and Clifford. He is preceded in death by his son, Roger Ells.
