Don Ray Collins, age 59, passed away suddenly, Monday, November 17, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born August 30, 1955 in Las Vegas to Eugene Howard and Erma Helen Petty Collins. On October 24, 1978 he married Kayleen Christensen in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Don grew up in the Las Vegas valley. He raised his family in Moapa Valley while working as an operating engineer. He loved spending time ranching out in Caliente. He was a real cowboy that loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed teaching them to love the outdoors. Cedar City, Utah has been home for the last ten years. His favorite hobby was his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Kayleen; two daughters and one son: Jeanette (Joe) Smith of Overton, NV; Kayla (CJ) Williams of North Bend, OR; JR (Nicole) of Cedar City, UT; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Steve (Pam) and Kenny, both of Cedar City, UT. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Arnold, who died at 91 and Billy Joe who died at 82.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 5 p.m. (Utah Time) at the Collins Ranch, 9638 W. 2400 S., Cedar City, Utah.
