Donna Lucille Lubach

d. May 10, 2015

Donna Lubach, age 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2015 in her home in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Nellie Lucille Lewis Massie and Robert Kitts Massie. She married the Reverend Doctor James Louis Lubach in Sommerville, New Jersey on March 14, 1992.

Donna moved frequently in her early life as the daughter of a career Air Force officer, and graduated from High School in Dunellen, New Jersey. Her faith journey began early in life and was inspired by her late grandmother, Hattie Massie.

It was appropriate that Donna passed on Mother’s Day as she was a loving mother to so many. In addition to her own and Jim’s children, Donna fostered numerous children and directed a day care facility where she could nurture and share her love with the children. Regardless of their age, Donna mothered countless others throughout her life.

Donna loved to travel and in the past twenty years she and Jim enjoyed traveling to England, Ireland, the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii and throughout the United States. Her favorite destination was Maui, where they traveled multiple times.

Donna is survived by her husband the Reverend Doctor James Lubach of Mesquite, NV; her three sons: Ronald Wagner of Plymouth, MA; Wayne Wagner of Allentown PA; (Renee Wagner of Matthews, NC); Chad Wagner (Rebecca) of Clover, SC; step children: James Mach (Jackie) Honolulu, HI; Jocelyn Hunt (Dave) of Glendale, AZ and Jonathan Lubach of Tallahassee, FL. Grandchildren: Brittany Wagner, Victoria Lubach, Zachary Wagner, Joshua Lubach, Ivy Mach, Chase and Reese Wagner and great grandson Rylan; brother: Bob Massie of Manassas, VA and sister-in-law Marie Davis of Murrell’s Inlet, SC. She was preceded in death by both parents.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and support provided to Donna and the family by the following organizations:

Mesquite United Methodist Church, Valley Presbyterian Church, Desert Valley Dialysis Center, Highland Manor, Mesa View Physical Therapy, Mesa View Hospice

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, May 31st at 2 PM at the Mesquite United Methodist Church.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to either Mesquite UMC, Mesa View Hospice, or the National Kidney Foundation.
