Donna Fay Mott Green, 92, passed away on January 23, 2023 in Herriman, UT. Donna was born in Tooele, UT on April 28, 1930 to Volndeau Mott and Vida Pearl Henson. She was raised in Orem, UT and graduated from high school there. In February 1948, she married the love of her life, J David Green. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City, UT Temple in April of 1964. They raised their five children in American Fork, UT and Cottonwood Heights, UT; and moved to Logandale, NV in 1973, so that Dave could work in better weather conditions. They loved being a part of the community and church in Moapa Valley.
Later in life, Donna and Dave traveled with many friends and family in their motorhome and hosted many family gatherings at “Green Acres” in Logandale. In 2014, Donna left her home to spend the last eight years traveling to and with each of her children. She spent time in their homes becoming closer to her grand and great-grandchildren. All of us were personally blessed by her testimony and her presence, as she spent time laughing, loving, teaching and nurturing us.
Donna’s passions were sewing, crafting, and shopping. She loved creating with her daughters and sharing her talents with each one of us. She taught her sons how to cook and loved to play cards and dominoes. She loved to tease and be teased and was very quick-witted to the end.
She is survived by her children, David Ron (Jana) Green, Donna DeAnn (Brad) Smith, Kevin Voln (Chris) Green, and Karen Fay (Bill) Watts; her 16 grandchildren; 27 plus great-grandchildren; and her sister, Beverly Ann Rafiner (Milo). She is preceded in death by her husband, J David Green; her son, Marion Lynn Green; her parents, Volndeau and Vida Pearl Mott; and her siblings, Verl, Melba, Ralph, and Marilyn.
Viewing services will be held at Moapa Valley Mortuary on Saturday, the fourth of February at 11:00 AM, followed by Graveside services at the Logandale Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Much appreciation for the staff of Beehive Homes of Herriman and a special place in our hearts for Mari Carr for the tender care she gave.
