Donato Thomas Coruzzi, 68 years old, of Mesquite, NV, passed away at his home, November 7, 2021. He was born March 6, 1953 to Sebastian and Camilla Tuello Coruzzi in Amityville, NY.
Donato was a graduate of Locust Valley High School in 1971. He studied mechanical engineering at NY Tech, Brookville, NY and proudly served in the Air Force Reserves from 1972-1978, then moving to Las Vegas in 1978. He was a self-employed welder for many years. He was also part of the team that built Remembrance Lights at Ground Zero after 9/11. He moved to Mesquite in 2006 where he enjoyed flying airplanes and spending time with his dogs. He had a unique, positive personality and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his beloved siblings; Donna Carfora (Edward), Thomas, Linda Blatchly DeBenedictis (Tom) and Michael, his dear nieces and nephews; Crystal, Thomas, Lisa (Jeremy) and Christopher, and his adored grandnephew; Izaiah. He is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Patches. He will also be missed by many cousins and faithful friends. He is preceded by his loving parents, Sebastian and Camilla Coruzzi.
