Donald Earl Hillman, age 82, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born February 23, 1928 in Sioux City, Iowa to John Walter and Ione Boggess Hillman. On September 12, 1959, he married Lei Lani Gene Shepp in Ottumwa, Iowa. Donald grew up in Sioux City. He served in the US Army. He then went to work for Bechtel Corporation, a world wide construction company. As he rose through the company, he had the opportunity to live in many countries throughout the world, and many cities in the United States. He was a hard worker, very knowledgeable, and well respected.
Survivors include his wife Lani of Mesquite, NV; two sons and one daughter: John of Peru; Darci (Michael) Tackett of Las Vegas, NV; Lance (Tonya) of Pueblo, CO and one grandson, Trace. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.
