Don Collins Wittwer

Mesquite, NV - Don Collins Wittwer, 60 passed away on April 25, 2018 at home.  He was born November 12, 1957 in St. George, UT. to Harold and Annita Russell Wittwer.
Don was raised in Mesquite and attended the Virgin Valley Schools.  He graduated from Virgin Valley High School in 1975.  He excelled in sports as a naturally gifted athlete.  He earned multiple awards, titles and recognition in football, basketball, baseball, and track.  Don received multiple letters from colleges who were interested in recruiting him.
He loved the outdoors and especially looked forward to family deer hunts.  For many years he delivered the Review Journal Newspaper to families and businesses in Mesquite.  Don was not afraid of  hard work and would do whatever he was asked to do.
I n later years he spent a lot of time with his father, and was considered his father’s  right-hand, he would go the extra mile and help him on the ranch and around the house as needed.  Even with Don’s personal struggles, he still was quiet, generous, and naturally kind-hearted.  He will be missed by his friends and family, but especially by his father, they spent a lifetime together.
Don is survived by his father, Harold; siblings, Connie (Jonathan) Jensen, Boyd (Penny) Wittwer, Bradley Wittwer, Curtis (Tanisha) Wittwer.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Annita.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bunkerville Cemetery under the direction of the Virgin Valley Mortuary.
