Dolores Lee Kenemore

Dolores Lee Kenemore, age 67, died on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at her home in Logandale, Nevada. She was born February 2, 1942 in Overton, Nevada. On October 2, 1981 she married Lonnie Doil Kenemore in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dolores was raised in Overton by Richard and Dorothy Louise Fulkerson Heath. From a young age she always showed an interest in animals. She lived most of her life in Moapa Valley, living for a short time with her husband Leroy Seckinger in Alaska and California. Her love for horses translated into working as a horse trainer at the Las Vegas Downs Track and when she worked for the BLM rounding up cattle, wild horses and burros. She was regarded as a woman that worked as hard as the men and was respected on the trail with the likes of Hank Rice and Claude Crane. She loved spending time with her family in the outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie of Logandale, NV; one son and two daughters: Charlene Morin, Todd Jones and Lorrie "Cricket" Seckinger all of Overton, NV; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers: John (Zena) Heath of Winnemucca, NV; Donald (Trudy) Heath of Overton, NV and Bill (Evelyn) Heath of Overton, NV.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
