Dennis Vance

Overton, Nevada

Dennis Lamont Vance, 80, passed away on March 19, 2024 in St. George, UT.   He was born on November 24, 1943 in La Crosse, WI to Joel Vance and Margaret Fitting.   He was married to Jeanne Filner.  They had three children but were later separated.  His companion for the last thirty years has been Ganise Mitchell Satterwhite.

Dennis was raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  As a young man he joined the United States Army. After over 20 years and three tours in the Vietnam, he retired. He was trained as an Avionics Technician, and worked as a government contractor for Hughes, and later Ratheon Avionics, working on radar systems. He was a dedicated member of the VFW and a Commander for the American Legion. He was diligent in his service to the veterans and neighbors of his community. Dennis had a great sense of humor.  His enthusiasm and love of life was contagious.

Dennis is survived by his companion, Ganise Satterwhite Vance; two sons: Duane Vance and Robert Vance;  four grandchildren and one sister, Cindy Fitting.  He was preceded in death by one son, Bryce Vance, siblings Richard Vance, Bruce Vance, Norma Sauerbier and wife Jeanne Vance.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Dennis’ memory April 27, 2024, 12:00 to 4:00 at the VFW Post 8336 Home, 324 Whitmore, Overton NV. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
