Dennis Ray Hone

Dennis Ray Hone, age 63, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born August 5, 1950 in Provo, Utah to Ted and Betty Jewett Hone. On August 24, 1974 he married Roma Jo Ellen Andersen in the Manti Utah LDS Temple.

Dennis grew up in Payson, UT but spent most of his life in Las Vegas. He served honorably in the Army as a tank operator during the Vietnam Conflict. He moved his family to Logandale in 1982. He worked for the Department of Energy at the Testsite and later at Simplot as an operator. He enjoyed making and working with model trains and railroads, gardening and tractors. He will be remembered as a loving, kind hearted man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

He will be missed by his wife, Jo Ellen of Logandale, NV; three daughters and one daughter in law; Kerri (Phillip) DeMille, Elisabeth Hone both of Moapa, NV, Kory (Daniel) Bevan of Logandale and Heidi (Michael) Palmer of Overton; 14 grandchildren; and one brother, Bob of Las Vegas. He is preceded in death by his son, Ryan, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logandale Stake Center . Visitation will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Warm Springs Cemetery.
