Dennis Ray Freeman, age 55, died suddenly, Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in California. He was born September 12, 1957 in Boulder City, Nevada to Kermit C and Ruth Ellen Stein Freeman. On July 1, 1977 he married Cherrlyn Robison in Logandale, Nevada. They were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. Dennis lived most of his life in Moapa Valley. He worked in the auto body industry for many years, at one time he was the manager for the body shop at Friendly Ford, one of the largest shops in the nation. He later worked as an insurance adjuster for Farmer's Insurance. In later years, his entrepreneurial spirit took over, he helped to start Splash Fever, ATV Adventures and Outdoor Extremes. He was a great asset to his community and church. He served as Chamber of Commerce President, was a founding member of Partners in Conservation, served in Scouting and was always Dutch oven cooking or deep pitting for church and community events. He enjoyed gardening and cars. He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor and love of family. Survivors include his wife, Cher of Logandale; four sons: Prentice (Jessica) of Logandale; Justin (JoDee); Aaron (Rosemary) both of Overton; Kyler of Ft. Lewis, WA; eleven grandchildren and one brother, Al (Judy) Strukel of Elkhart, IN. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2013 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
