Dennis Glenn Egan

Dennis Glenn Egan, age 70, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at his home in Moapa, Nevada. He was born March 10, 1944 in Lowell, Massachusetts to William Patrick and Margaret C. Mullamphy Egan. On November 3, 1984 he married Lola Leavitt in Overton, Nevada.
Dennis grew up in Dracut, Massachusetts. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was proud to have worked on the Apollo 8 Space Rocket project. He later worked as a truck driver, Brand Inspector and other jobs. His passion was music. He was a talented guitar player and singer. He was well known as an international Square Dance Caller. His fatherly influence impacted many youth throughout his life.
He is survived by his sweetheart, Lola of Moapa, NV and all of her family. He was preceded in death by one son, William David and one brother, William.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Overton LDS Chapel. Visitation will be from 9 - 9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery.
