Delbert Roy John

Delbert Roy John, 38, passed away on November 22, 2023 in Kaibab, AZ. Delbert was born on January 3, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV to Joseph John and Lorraine Benn. At the age of six, he went to live with his aunt, Deborah Love, who raised him till he graduated high school. After high school, he worked for Standard of Excellence through Monarch as a salesman, selling high-end appliances. He loved meeting and talking with new people. He later left to work for the Eagle Shadow Solar Project. He loved being with family and friends, often having BBQ’s, and watching movies and comedy shows. He loved watching sports, and was a Rams fan, and a closeted NASCAR fan. He was inquisitive, and loved learning new things. He loved his cats, Mango and Chewie, and doted on his many nieces and nephews.

Delbert is survived by his siblings, Natalie Dawahoya, Lalainia Benn Smith, Christy Dawahoya, Jonell John, Michael Salgado, Jolene Mangilinan, Tanisha Tom, Shalin Tom, and Darilyn Martinez; his forty-two nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; a large, loving extended family; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph John and Lorraine Benn; his sister, Nalin Faucett; and brother, Jason Tom.

A Viewing will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, 2-3:00 p.m., followed by Funeral Services from 3-5:00 p.m. at the Moapa Tribal Building at 1 Lincoln Ave, Moapa, NV. A Traditional Sing will be held at Sundown, with Graveside services at Sunrise on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the Moapa Tribal Cemetery.
